Alloy optimization

Antaya is a vertically integrated manufacturer with the capability to adjust the percentages of each element in the alloy during the solder casting process.

The alloy can be optimized for the percentage of indium based on the characteristic of the glass.  Higher percentage of indium are typically used on glass that is more susceptible to cracking when exposed to extreme temperatures and lower percentages of indium are used on glass that is more resistant to cracking.

Based on the OEM requirement for temperature cycle testing and the type of glass the percentage of indium can be increased or decreased.  Alloys with lower percentages of indium are typically less expensive.

Process optimization

Antaya supplies controlled resistance soldering equipment to customers using our pre-soldered, pre-fluxed lead free terminals.  The process parameters must be optimized based on the alloy, the terminal and the glass.  Process optimization can be done at the Antaya lab with customer supplied glass ort in the customers plant with plant operators and maintenance personnel.

Antaya has sales engineering staff in every market.  If a customer needs process support in Changchun China a sales engineer can be there tomorrow.  If a customer needs process support in Detroit Michigan a sales engineer can be there today.

Antaya lab testing

Process optimization, temperature cycle testing, load testing and destructive pull testing can be performed on 12 x 12 and customer supplied glass at the Antaya Facility.

Independent lab testing

Tests to customers standards and industry standards are often required.  These tests are best performed by independent third party labs.  Antaya can assist in sample preparation for the third party testing and work with the customer directed lab.  We can also suggest a lab that has the equipment and experience with glass and solder materials.  Two labs we have worked with are Trialon and Thielsch engineering.  (link to Trialon and Thielsch)
